GOVERNMENT OF CANADA INVESTS IN SCIENCE LABS IN CBU’S CENTRE FOR DISCOVERY AND INNOVATION

The next generation of innovators will be critical to finding forward-thinking, sustainable solutions to address the challenges of a swiftly changing world. In Nova Scotia, the Government of Canada is helping 小猪视频 develop the high-quality educational infrastructure needed to advance important research and learning, and help future innovators reach their full potential.

Today, Mike Kelloway, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard and Member of Parliament for Cape Breton-Canso, announced a non-repayable contribution of $3.5 million to 小猪视频 (CBU) through the Canada Coal Transition Initiative 鈥 Infrastructure Fund. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA.

This contribution will help equip science classes and laboratories at the University鈥檚 new net-zero ready Centre for Discovery and Innovation. These cutting-edge research and teaching facilities will help 小猪视频deliver an enhanced learning experience for students while encouraging technology-based research. This project will further strengthen the University鈥檚 role as an innovation hub, readying tomorrow鈥檚 leaders to solve complex issues.
