From faculty and staff who speak Mi鈥檏maq, to academic courses and programs delivered in Mi鈥檏maw communities, Unama鈥檏i College has much to offer Indigenous learners.

Even though our specialty is in Mi鈥檏maq teachings, we are open to all 小猪视频Indigenous learners and offer a safe and welcoming space for all Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island.

Indigenous Student Programs

Unama鈥檏i College offers a variety of programs designed to support Indigenous students in their pursuit of higher education. These programs are developed in collaboration with local Mi鈥檏maw communities to address barriers to post-secondary education and to create pathways for academic success. Our programs cater to both prospective high school students and mature students, providing flexible and accessible education opportunities at CBU, or within their communities. Our initiatives emphasize personalized guidance, and the integration of Indigenous perspectives, fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and culturally. Additionally, our youth mentorship programs are built to introduce high-school students to new pathways and connect them with Indigenous professionals, offering valuable insights and guidance for future careers.
